Monk who sold his Ferrari
Hey guys, I hope you all are safe. Today I am writing this blog about the book that I’ve been reading recently. It’s name is The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari. The book is written by one of the great authors – Robin Sharma. The blog is kind of a summary of the book, hope you’ll like it and if you did, let me know in the comments below.
1. Cultivate your mind – The quality of your mind is depended on the quality of your thoughts. That’s why we should occupy our minds with uplifting thoughts. Now we cannot constantly be motivated or happy, so when we are sad what we can do is – we can do things which make us laugh or feel better such as listen to music, play with kids or go on a walk. The thing is when we feel bad, we have negative thoughts on our mind and this leads to negativity. So when we focus on the good that is happening around, we change the frequency of our thoughts. Feeling better and having positive thoughts has a great impact on our life. We should see the setbacks as an opportunity and try to constantly think about the goals that we want to achieve as Envisioning your dreams or goals is the first step to make them into reality.
2. Live with discipline – Now this is very important in everyone’s life. Discipline is an essential virtue for living a life of your dreams. Now many of us have tried waking up early and failed 2 or 3 times and been thinking that it’s not my cup of tea. But the thing with discipline is that is is built with repetition and consistency. For eg – if you want to built the habit of reading book early in the morning then do that everyday on the same time. If 7 in the morning then everyday at 7 everyday you need to wake up. This helps you to be consistent.
3. Respect your time – We all have heard that time is our most valuable asset. It really is. Still we mostly waste it by procrastinating. For this we need to set our tasks according to importance and give them the priority. It is really important to focus on your priorities and learn to say NO to things that are less important to you.
4. Give to others – ‘The best way to earn is by giving’ Robert Kiyosaki has described in his book ‘Rich dad poor dad’. We should give more then we take. By giving an important part of our everyday life, we can improve not only our life but also of others too. We should help the one who is in need. According to our situation we should really give a part to others and it can be a person in need or helpless animal on the street.
At last, I would like to end by putting a quote by Robin Sharma -
"We are all here for some special reason. Stop being the prisoner of your past. Become the Architect of your future."
Hope you liked it, if you have any suggestions then please write it down in the comments below!
