Abloom your Anxiety.

Hey guys, today I'm going to write about one of the most common topics or problems that are 'failing at dealing with anxiety.' Now we all get anxious from time to time and the reason for that can be anything from not getting enough sleep or due to our finances or maybe going to gatherings of people (not my cup of tea as well). Now to deal with it, figure out what's making us anxious and then read down to what Yash has written (thank you). Now, I do not have a degree in human psychology or anything but the thing I have is knowledge given by one of the best philosophers in history known as Stoic Philosophers.

Let us see what some of them have to say about Anxiety -

1. "Man is not worried by real problem as much as he is about the imagined problems" - Epictetus

He is trying to explain that we suffer more in imagination than in reality. We tend to create crappy situations about something that has yet to happen that sometimes turns out to be a good thing. It is quoted by a great philosopher " It's foolish to fear something that is yet to be experienced by us." We fear that something that is not pretty will happen to us before it happens but why not wait until it happens, that way you'll have less suffering,  if that thing turns out good then no suffering, and even if it turns out bad you'll suffer during the time when it happens and not on the road till that thing.

2. "What upsets people is not things themselves but the judgments about those things" - Epictetus

I'll be honest with you here, no situation in life has the potential to hurt you more than a day, one can't be sad about anything for more than a day unless you let it take over your brain. It is quoted that you have the power to deal with any problems that come your way be it in any form or the problem won't be in your way in the first place. Not judging things before they arrive is the way to be happy. It's natural to get hit by life and fall but why let it take over your brain. You only can fight against it if your brain is in the right state. "Keep moving when you're going through hell because if not, you're gonna stay there forever, said Steve Harvey And trust me you'll only be able to move if your brain is with you.

3. "You have power over your mind, know this, you will find strength" - Marcus Aurelius

9/10 of people do not know the true strength of the human brain. We don't know how it works or how much impact it has on our lives. The power of the brain is so much that it gets laughed at when explained to us. We think of it as a joke and be a joke when we face a problem we can't endure. The people who realize the power of the brain and use it achieve a lot on the other hand we who mock and laugh at its powers sit on our couch just watching them on our television. Now when I talk about the power of the brain, it isn't just used to get more money but to know things that are beyond our imagination. The Law of Attraction is something we aren't ready to believe in but it is something to be understood and implemented sooner or later.

4. "There is only one way to happiness, that is to cease worrying about things which are beyond the power of our will." - Seneca

"We shouldn't worry about the things we can't control." but those are things which we worry about the most. We get stressed about the results and mess up the efforts that are to be made to get the results when the thing that we can do is put honest and utmost effort. Now I get it, pessimists, it's human nature but putting utmost effort and being optimistic about them can also be human nature if we want it to it is our choice to make (it's in our hands, we should think about it).

5. "What is the point of dragging up sufferings that are over, of being miserable now, because you were miserable then?" - Seneca

Now, worrying about the future can be understood, but being miserable about the past? Why do that? Just figure out the lesson to be learned and move on. I get it, everyone suffers in some way or the other but I see no successful person that whines about things that have happened to them in the past. Instead of being miserable about the past why can't we be motivated that we survived that critical situation in life? There's a positive to everything that happens with you, have the eye to see it.

In conclusion, I would like to add things that will clear things going on in your head. I know things can be harder, disappointing, and frustrating but we can control our reaction to them. Now I'll not be ridiculously optimistic and will give you a way out. When something happens to you that you find disturbing, take 5 minutes. Go to someplace where you can be alone and think the situation through and if you can't do that at the time of a critical situation, do not lash out or cry keep things in your brain, go home spare those 5 minutes and think about it deeply, there are high chances that you'll be up to the mark after 5 minutes and even if not, you'll be able to deal with the situation more efficiently.

Thank you for reading,

Yash.

    2. Good article. I feel worries start if you are not prepared for any future /known expected challenges . Like you have exam after 2 days & you have not studied you have an interview & you have not done any preparation & you get worried etc. But in life there are sudden incidence which takes place out of the blue and now you have to face it.

As rightly mentioned in the article, in certain situations you can not do anything & whatever comes in front of you you have to face it with action rather than worrying about it
