Signs that people are good for your mental health.

Gratitude is one of the most powerful things for a person to be happy. Now, gratitude doesn't only mean thanking god for all the good things that happen in your life but also thanking people around you who are good for your mental health and people who really care for you and uplift you. They can be anyone, your friends, family, teacher, or anyone. We think that it's a very small thing to say thanks or be thankful for them being helpful but trust me those little things which we think are little aren't really little. Great people who truly care about you are very rare. There are signs by which you can know who are those people and it is very important to know them to actually be thankful for them. 





1. Respecting emotions - 

We can't have good relations with someone whose emotions or feelings we don't respect. Respecting someone's emotions helps them be comfortable around us. To be in a healthy relationship with someone, we need to respect their feelings and not judge them for it, and this is really important as not respecting emotions can really hurt someone's emotions. The people who are good for your mental health will always respect your feelings without any judgment. 


2. Knowing you as a person - 

The person who cares for you will be genuinely interested in knowing you as a person. Knowing each other develops a feeling of trust, they know this and will try to know you. They'll enjoy spending time with you which creates a good bond and increases trust between the two people. A good person will know all your likes and dislikes and will always keep them in mind. This should be reciprocated. If someone is genuinely interested in you and cares for you, you should do the same. 




3. You don't need to hide anything - 

In a world full of show off, there are people around whom you can be yourself. You don't need to hide anything about yourself around them. You can be yourself. You can express your true identity and your needs with them without any hesitation. It builds more confidence between the two. Some people judge you for the smallest thing about you but in that group, someone will be an exception with whom you can be yourself completely. 



4. Can be Vulnerable - 

Vulnerability is something everything is ashamed of. But some people don't let you feel ashamed about your vulnerabilities at all. You can show them your weak side and they'll not judge you for that but instead, they'll help you do something about it. Those are the people who are good for your mental health. 




5. Open, Honest, and no Judgements - 

 True people will always be open and honest with you and will never judge you for being you. They won't criticize you for sharing your opinion or views about some topic. They know everyone has their own beliefs. They will always be open to communication and will be honest in the same. This grows mutual trust and confidence. These kinds of people are very rare to find and should be kept around forever. 



The above-described people are really very helpful and important in one's life. If you've got any let them know that they are important and be grateful for their help. The blog was my way of expressing gratitude to some of the great people in my life. I'm sure they'll figure it out if they are one of them, there's no point in mentioning their names.
